He elaborated, “Imagine if you have 400 people show up and you just have two restroom stalls? Not gonna go well… No one’s happy when there’s a huge line of 50 people.”
Grant’s guidelines for determining stall count:
- Guest Count: The primary factor.
- Food & Alcohol: “Are you gonna have beer there? Beer makes you have to go more.”
- Guest Demographics: “Is there gonna be more women than men there? Women, it takes a little bit longer, so we need to make sure we have more stalls.”
- Rule of Thumb:
- “If you’re going to have 150 people, you can use a 2 stall restroom trailer. And that’s kinda gonna be the Max.”
- “If you’re gonna have alcohol and food there, you might have the Max for a 2 stall be 100 people.”
- This translates to roughly 50 people per stall for events with food, alcohol, and a desire for shorter lines, up to 100 people per stall for simpler events.
